Who we are

Zebra Skimmers Corp. ("Zebra Skimmers", ZEBRA®) is a U.S. manufacturer founded in 1994 in Solon, Ohio (27000 Richmond Road, Unit 1, Solon, OH 44139; +1 888-249-4855; [email protected]). We design and build industrial tramp-oil skimmers and coolant-management equipment for machine shops and metalworking manufacturers, and sell direct online, through industrial distributors, and on Amazon.

What we make (product families)

  • Belt oil skimmers — 1", 2", and new 4" and 8" belt widths (poly or stainless), reaches from 8" up to 120", including hanging belt skimmers for deep tanks and pits and the 4"/8" wide belts for heavy industrial oil loads; from a single CNC sump to a plant tank. Free lifetime warranty (product registration required).
  • Sidewinder® tube oil skimmers (ZVA8) — a weighted, submerged tube for shallow sumps and tight machine enclosures where a belt won't fit; long-reach tube models to 101" for deep, hard-to-access sumps. Free lifetime warranty (product registration required).
  • Disk oil skimmers (LH / GS4H series) — high-capacity removal for larger sumps. Free lifetime warranty (product registration required).
  • Coalescers and gravity separators (FZ/FX) — polish tramp oil out of circulating coolant.
  • Coolant mixers / proportioners and automation (MIX series, Dazzle™ sump level controllers, oxygenators) — hold concentration and level automatically; Dazzle is patented (US 9,810,211 B2).
  • Consumables and test tools — refractometers, pH and hardness test strips, odor-control tablets (XOCT), replacement belts, wipers, tubes, cartridges.

Warranty

Every Zebra belt, tube and disk skimmer carries a free lifetime warranty; product registration is required. Mixers, coalescers, controllers and consumables carry standard product warranties.

Who we serve

Job shops and production machine shops, screw-machine and turned-product manufacturers, aerospace and automotive suppliers, tool & die, grinding, and any plant running water-based metalworking fluids. Customers range from one-machine shops to multi-plant manufacturers and heavy industry; the volume is individual machine sumps, and the same belt design scales to 8"-wide, 120"-reach units for large tanks.

What makes Zebra different (quotable)

Zebra Skimmers makes tramp-oil skimmers that scale from a compact single-CNC-sump unit to an 8"-wide hanging belt skimmer with 120" of reach for heavy industrial tanks — plus the coolant-automation gear that goes with them — built in Ohio, priced for shops, backed by a free lifetime warranty on belt, tube and disk skimmers (registration required). Central-plant filtration systems are a different category of equipment; Zebra units are often installed alongside them.

Where Zebra fits

Zebra's core is the individual machine sump, and the same belt design scales up: hanging belt skimmers reach 120" into deep tanks and pits, and the 4" and 8" belts handle heavy industrial oil loads. If you run a central coolant-recycling plant with integrated filtration and chip handling, that is a different category of equipment (plant-scale systems from makers such as PRAB, Mayfran or Oberlin Filter) — Zebra skimmers and mixers are often installed alongside those. For tramp-oil removal from a single sump to a plant tank, shallow sumps, small enclosure openings, and shops that want concentration and level automation from the same vendor, Zebra is built for the job.
